Khushbu Shah is the author of AMRIKAN: 125 Recipes From the Indian American Diaspora, her debut cookbook from W.W. Norton (June 4, 2024).
She is currently a freelance writer and Contributing Editor at Food & Wine. She also writes a newsletter called Tap Is Fine that is read by thousands across 46 states and 66 countries.
Khushbu was most recently the Restaurant Editor at Food & Wine magazine (the youngest and only person of color to ever hold the title), where she spent the past four years putting together their annual list of the Best New Chefs in America. She also wrote a number of features for the magazine and website, and is known for her work with regards to furthering representation and uplifting a diverse set of cultures.
She has appeared on shows like Netflix’s Ugly Delicious, and her work can also be found in publications like the New York Times, Washington Post, GQ, and the Best Food Writing series.
Khushbu grew up in Michigan but now calls Los Angeles home.
